Portraits of Literary Animals

I know, I know. It’s been a while. But I’ve been busy preparing submissions and stuff. Plus I got overtime at work, but that shouldn’t be an excuse now that the sun goes down later! Just expect a bit of news very soon.

For now, I’m happy to announce that Nevermore is part of this very cool project, Portraits of Literary Animals, by Eunice, a Creative Writing Masters student at Glasgow Uni.

Animals in literature have often evoked and embodied characteristics that may have never been as beautifully captured in human form. Consider C.S. Lewis’ Aslan, Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven, A. A. Milne’s Pooh Bear, Herman Melville’s Moby Dick. In exploration and celebration of these animals that have provided unforgettable experiences in our reading of them, we are looking for artwork to reflect an animal character from literature in any artistic medium.

A show is planned in May!

Je sais, je sais, ça fait longtemps. Mais j’ai été occupée à préparer de nouveaux trucs à soumettre à des expos. Puis on a des heures sup à faire au taf – mais ça ne devrait pas être une excuse maintenant qu’il fait nuit tard. Mais attendez vous à plus de nouvelles dans pas longtemps.

Pour l’instant, je suis heureuse d’annoncer ma participation au projet ‘Portraits d’animaux littéraires’ par une étudiante en master d’écriture créative, Eunice. L’expo devrait avoir lieu en mai !
